About Rev. Faith Johnson Lara

Faith is a dedicated musician and vocal student and has been studying for over 20 years, and teaching for over 10.

She has experience in church, choir, theater, charity, and performance settings.

Faith's studies lay mostly in the SLS method, with decades of experience under some of it's top coaches and instructors.

As an ordained Minister, Faith has been leading worship as a worship leader, and also leading as a ministry director, for 17 years. She has led in children's, youth, and adult settings, including band, vocal teams, and choirs. She has lead worship as a soloist, accompaniment, background vocalist, choir member, and director. Also, bolstering her vocal leadership, she has taken years of lessons in piano and keyboard, so she is able to contextualize musical theory and vocalization from the perspective of a musician as well.

She has worked with dozens of students over the years, picking up information and knowledge as she studies to teach them, and can bring an incredible balance of studied learning, foundational instruction, and hard won experience, to help students grow and develop spiritually and practically.

Policy Highlights

Studio Rules: please come/log on prepared for lesson, on time, with water on hand. Have music ready to sing along to for the second half of lesson, knowing lyrics and being familiar with melody and whatever other parts you're planning to rehearse. In order to not waste your time or the instructor's time, please come prepared, having practiced your music and worked through the week prior. Consistently showing up to lesson without having practiced previous teaching, will mean a reevaluation of whether the student is ready to commit to instruction on an ongoing basis. If classes are cancelled last minute on a regular basis, students may be charged whether they show up for lesson or not, to protect the teacher's time and create a system of order and accountability for all students.
